The SABRE™ Ranger 5000 is the enhanced successor to the SABRE™ Ranger M2M, bringing a host of new features and improvements. This compact, all-IP BGAN Machine-to-Machine (M2M) satellite terminal provides a secure and dependable IP data connection, all while boasting an IP66 weatherproof rating, making it suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions.
Rugged Design for Outdoor Challenges
For outdoor installations, the SABRE™ Ranger 5000 comes equipped with an optional rugged stainless steel mounting bracket, ensuring easy setup and antenna alignment. It's built to withstand the harshest weather conditions.
The IoT Revolution
The "Internet of Things" (IoT) connects billions of devices, from industrial sensors to surveillance equipment, alarms, and various measuring devices. The SABRE™ Ranger 5000 is ready to bridge the gap between legacy and modern devices. It offers legacy device interfaces, including built-in GPIOs, analog input ports, RS232, and Ethernet ports. This means that both old and new equipment can work seamlessly on the same network. Additionally, it features an RS485 (Modbus) interface for direct connections to multiple sensors without the need for a separate Remote Terminal Unit (RTU). With incredibly low idle power consumption (approximately 1W), the SABRE™ Ranger 5000 can even be powered by a small solar panel, making it an ideal solution for off-grid sites.
Reliability for Critical Applications
SABRE™ Ranger 5000 is built for SCADA applications, collecting real-time data from remote unmanned locations. It's fully compatible with the Remote Terminal Manager (RTM) and M2M Access Platform (M2MAP), allowing users to visualize the terminal's location and monitor its status. Remote configuration and control can be achieved through SMS commands, and logs can be retrieved for debugging. This makes the SABRE™ Ranger 5000 a crucial component for unlocking the potential of the IoT.
